The University maintains various parking facilities to meet the needs of faculty, staff, students, and visitors.  These include permit lots, restricted assignment lots, parking garages where patrons pay to park, and metered parking spaces.  Registration and display of a valid MSU parking permit is required at all times for all vehicles parked in the surface lots within the jurisdictional areas of the University. Permits may be obtained at the Parking Services Office or online at http://www.montclair.edu/parking.

Vehicles are subject to booting or towing at the owner or driver's expense for violations of University parking or registration rules.  Any parked vehicle, which constitutes a safety hazard or blocks vehicular or designated pedestrian movement areas may also be towed at the discretion of Parking Services personnel or University Police at the owner's expense.

Overnight parking is permitted in the Red Hawk Deck only. Visitors are required to park in the Red Hawk Deck, in metered pay station spaces or in the NJ TRANSIT Parking Garage.  This garage is served by University shuttle buses every six minutes. In the event of a motor vehicle accident on campus, the University Police must be notified immediately at extension 5222.
