To nurture a lifelong commitment to service and a sense of social responsibility among members of the MSU community by encouraging students, faculty, staff and alumni to participate in community outreach projects on and off campus.
Who We Are
The Volunteer Resource Center (VRC) is located in the Center for Student Involvement (CSI), and is overseen by the Volunteer Resource Center Coordinator-- an annual position filled by an active AmeriCorps service member each academic year. Like all offices located in the CSI, the VRC is dedicated to supplementing the academic college experience. Our goal is to engage students outside the classroom and to foster a sense of social responsibility through service.
The VRC also relies on the help of student volunteers: student organizations, individual volunteers and members of the MSU Bonner Leaders. Through partnerships with campus organizations and the assistance of our Red Hawk students, the VRC is able to better serve our campus community.
The VRC organizes several annual programs, including:
- 9/11 National Day of Service
- Alternative Spring Break
- MSU Community Service Fair
- American Red Cross Blood Drives
- MSU Employee Volunteer Day
For further information concerning any of these programs, please contact the VRC.
