Start the academic year off by doing some good at one of the many service projects available on and off campus.
The Center for Community Engagement and Volunteer Center host an annual service event to honor and remember the victims and first responders of the September 11 tragedy. This service event has had on average 350 students, faculty, alumni and local community members serve on campus, in the Montclair community, and in its surrounding areas. Together students, faculty, staff and community members have contributed more than 10,000 volunteer hours.
9/11 Day of Service 2021
On the 20th Anniversary of 9/11, this year’s Day of Service was more essential than those in the past. Volunteers had the opportunity to volunteer off-campus, with some on-campus opportunities. Service sites ranged from food pantries, sorting medical supplies, gardening, planting, painting, socializing with adults with disabilities, socializing with senior citizens, & cleaning.
9/11 Day of Service 2022
Join us for our annual 9/11 Day of Service in honor of those we lost that day 21 years ago. Choose from multiple service sites involving food pantries, parks, senior homes, street cleanups, facility cleanups and more.
