Lambda Alpha – National Honor Society
Lambda Alpha is the national honor society in Anthropology. The Department of Anthropology at Montclair State University now inducts students on a rolling basis to our local chapter, NJ Beta, based on the following criteria:
- Cumulative GPA: 3.0
- Anthropology GPA: 3.25
- Plus a declared major or minor in Anthropology with a minimum of 15 credits in Anthropology at Montclair State
University Membership is prestigious. In addition, there is an annually awarded national scholarship of $5000 to a graduating senior major in anthropology. Lifetime membership into the honor society costs $25. There are also honor society pins ($10) and satin stoles ($25) that can be purchased separately and worn at graduation. Interested students should contact the Department of Anthropology.
