The PHAST-Track Institute
First annual summer institute will have a focus on Maternal Child Health
The core of the Institute’s work is founded in Building and Supporting Public Health Workforce Capacity and Capability. All courses and training sessions target the core competencies and strategic skills for a strong public health workforce. This is a great opportunity to learn from our esteemed faculty and community partners!
What topics are covered in the courses and who will teach them?
Our three-course offerings this summer are:

- Community Partnerships: Developing and Making the Most of Them
(focus on NJ organizations)
Instructor: Jill Wodnick, Assistant Director for Maternal-Infant Relational Health, Center for Autism and Early Childhood Mental Health at Montclair State University
- Intro to Maternal Child Health
Instructor: Dr. Nastassia Harris, Founding Executive Director, Perinatal Health Equity Initiative
- Health Communications: Translating Complex Info to Communicate Effectively with Various Audiences
Instructor: Dr. Amanda Birnbaum, Professor and Deputy Chair, Department of Public Health at Montclair State University
