Student Affairs Honor Society

Chi Sigma Alpha is an international honor society of graduate students, alumni, faculty members, and Student Affairs Professionals. Members are committed to the three pillars of the honor society which are excellence in academics, research, and service to the profession. Founded in 2002 at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia, Chi Sigma Alpha has invited over 200 individuals and 12 chapters to membership. As of 2018, the Alpha Iota Chapter was chartered at Montclair State University by the M.A. in Educational Leadership Higher Education graduate program. The founding class was established on October 21, 2018, in the Student Center in Room 411. The initiation ceremony was led by both Sherlene Ayala, advisor, and Dr. Amy Aiello, Associate Dean for the College of Education and Human Services. Since its founding, the Alpha Iota chapter now has over 40 alumni and continues to welcome new classes to the society.
