Honors Program

A Message from the Honors Program Director

Welcome to the Montclair State University Honors Program!

The Honors Program provides the kind of vital intellectual community associated with a small liberal arts college in the heart of a vibrant and growing state university. We bring together talented students and dynamic teachers in small classes in order to offer students the best possible educational experience. We also provide special housing for Honors students and a range of extracurricular activities because we know how much learning and growth also take place outside the classroom. As the director of the Honors Program, I invite you to think seriously about joining us.

Spend some time with this page to learn more about the academic and social community that is the Honors Program of Montclair State University. Then contact me if you wish; I’ll be happy to talk with you, send you an application, or even arrange a campus visit.

Finally, please note that the MSU Honors Program is distinct from the MSU Presidential Scholars Program (though students can be both honors students and presidential scholars at the same time). The Honors Program includes several distinctive features, including a special curriculum, priority registration for courses and a special housing opportunity.
