This Fall, the Global Center on Human Trafficking, in partnership with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) hosted a training on the Montclair campus to improve law enforcement investigations of human trafficking in the State of New Jersey. The training was attended by nearly 100 prosecutors and local law enforcement agents and focused on important issues like supporting victims through prosecution, the role of money laundering in human trafficking, and immigration relief for victims. The GCHT led a panel on incorporating a survivor’s perspective into law enforcement response featuring several lived experience professionals.
