Food Champion Program

Montclair State University is excited to launch the Food Champion Program. The Food Champion Program is intended to provide occasional support to Montclair students who are experiencing food insecurity while also reducing waste by making food left over from catered events available for pickup.

How It Works

  1. Opt In! Log into Canvas and it will direct you to the course to enroll.
  2. After you opt in, you will receive a notification via Canvas when food is available. The message may include a brief description of the food.
  3. When available, containers will be provided. However, you should bring your own clean (free of contaminants) individual-sized reusable container with lid and utensil(s). It is very important that all outside containers/utensils brought in are clean to prevent contamination and illness.
  4. To ensure food safety, food availability will be limited to a maximum of 30 minutes from the time the alert is sent.

Food is available on a first-come/first-served basis.

This program is free for all, currently enrolled, Montclair State University Students.
