Swipe Out Hunger

Donate Meal Swipes!

Swipe Out Hunger is a nation-wide program that partners with colleges to help put an end to student hunger and assist those who struggle with food insecurity. Swipe Out Hunger has partnered with Montclair State Dining, Student Development & Campus Life and the Dean of Students Office to bring this program to Montclair State University. The Swipe Out Hunger program allows Montclair State University students enrolled in a dining block meal plan (excludes Rocky’s Unlimited Plans) to donate up to two Block Swipes per semester from their plan to support other students struggling with food insecurity. The University holds two drives to encourage students with meal blocks to donate.

Additionally, all students who have Flex or Red Hawk Dollars will continue to have the option to use their dollars to purchase “Pantry Packs” of shelf-stable goods from the university’s retail stores. Pantry Packs will be available in three sizes:

  • $25.00
  • $50.00
  • $100.00

These purchases, in turn, will be provided to the food pantry, which specifically targets students in need.
