The Animation & VFX Pre-College Program at Montclair State University offers students a unique opportunity to delve into the fundamentals of animation and visual effects. During your week on campus, you will:
- Gain exposure to a collegiate learning environment in our state of the art computer labs.
- Each day will be a full day of learning a new aspect of animation and visual effects.
- 3D Modeling: Students will be hands-on learning the basics of 3D sculpting using ZBrush
- 3D Animation: Students will be lead through the fundamentals of character animation using Autodesk Maya
- Experimental Animation: Students will explored various methods using stop-motion and frame by frame techniques
- Unreal Engine: Students will gain a basic understanding of game concepts and hands-on learning of the Unreal software.
- Learn best practices, technical tips and tricks
- Embark on a hosted one-day trip to New York City for an exclusive tour of a cutting-edge visual effects studio.
We will explore the heart of creativity as we guide you through the studio, where you’ll witness the latest technologies, innovative techniques, and the collaborative efforts that bring cinematic visions to life.
