NJHelps is a free and easy guide to help you determine the programs and assistance that you and your family may be eligible to use. Low- and moderate-income working parents can receive state subsidies for child care, including preschool instruction, after-school programs for children up to age 13, and care for children and teens with special needs.

Emergency Overnight Shelter for Men and Women
At the shelter, people receive food, clothing, and mental health, substance abuse, and physical assessments to help them find programs that can help them get back on their feet.

Health screening: In partnership with the City of Paterson’s Department of Health, the Creech Community Development Center will conduct health screening quarterly. Services include blood pressure, HIV, diabetes and cholesterol testing.

Medicaid
Medicaid provides health insurance to parents/caretakers, dependent children, pregnant women and people who are aged, blind or disabled. These programs pay for hospital services, doctor visits, prescriptions, nursing home care and other healthcare needs depending on eligibility.
