Master of Arts in Teaching

Our MAT program empowers graduates with the knowledge, expertise and professional skills needed to become outstanding teachers.

Our program has consistently been recognized nationally and internationally for its unique features, including its structure, partnerships and curricular emphases. It’s considered a model for other colleges and universities and has continuously been accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) since 1954.

The program’s professional course sequence and clinical field experiences emphasize teaching for critical thinking and preparing P-12 students to participate as citizens in a democracy.

Due to certification requirements, F-1 visa holders are not eligible for Masters of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs.
