The Montclair State University Foundation administers more than 350 annual named and general scholarship funds and awards at undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels in all six University colleges and schools.
These scholarships help ensure that today’s bright, ambitious students can receive the exceptional education they deserve. They also help Montclair State attract and retain the best and brightest students. Your gift can help these deserving students realize their dreams.
There are many ways to support scholarships at Montclair, including:
- The Second Century Scholarship Fund. Your contribution to this fund supports numerous University-wide scholarships. We urgently need general, unrestricted scholarships if we are to continue to fund today’s deserving students. If you wish to support a specific college, school or program, you may make that designation at the time of your donation.
- Annual Scholarships. These named awards to qualified students are based on your pledged dollar donation over a specific number of years. You may name an annual scholarship and establish the specific criteria that recipients will need to meet. The minimum gift required for a named scholarship is $10,000.
- Endowed Scholarships and Teaching Assistantships. An endowed scholarship or teaching assistantship is a gift that makes a lasting difference to Montclair students. These awards are tailored to fit the criteria that you think are important for recipients, and may be created incrementally over a three-year period. Named endowed scholarships award the interest earned by the endowed amount of the scholarship fund and continue in perpetuity. To endow a scholarship, a minimum gift of $25,000 is required.
We can also help you fund a scholarship or graduate teaching assistantship through an outright gift of cash, stock, land, or personal property or through a deferred gift in a charitable trust or bequest.
