Dive Into the NJ Legislative Process with "Under the Dome"

"Under the Dome" provides students with a unique experience designed to give them an opportunity to enrich their academic knowledge while learning about the legislative process at the State House in Trenton.  "Under the Dome" will give the student a chance to personally observe the legislative process of state government and gain intimate knowledge of the political process in Trenton.  In addition to classroom discussions regarding the day's hot political topics, students will attend voting sessions, committee hearings, research legislation, and meet cabinet member, legislators/staff, and Office of Legislative Services Staff.

The course is led by Professor Sal Anderton, an attorney and legislative director of Porzio Governmental Affairs, who has served as legislative counsel for the New Jersey Department of Labor and for a member of the New Jersey General Assembly.
