Montclair, NJ (9/27/09) – Sophomore quarterback Tom Fischer (Livingston, NJ / Livingston) was named the Offensive Player of the Week by the New Jersey Athletic Conference on Sunday. It marks the second consecutive week that a Red Hawk has earned one of the league's weekly honors.

Fischer earns NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading the Red Hawks to a come-from- behind 41-39 NJAC road win at Brockport.

In the victory, he completed 23-of-39 passes for 363 yards and two touchdowns (4 and 14 yards apiece). He also garnered 13 yards rushing on four carries, including a 9-yard touchdown run. Trailing 39-35 with just 48 seconds remaining, he engineered a game-winning 57-yard scoring drive through the air, culminating in a 14-yard touchdown pass with just 10 seconds remaining.

Fischer currently ranks third in the NJAC in passing yards per game (241.3).
