The 37th Annual Meeting of the Northeast Business and Economics Association (NBEA) will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Morristown, New Jersey, on September 30 to October 2, 2010 hosted by Montclair State's School of Business.
The theme of the conference is “Opportunity and Challenges during the Economic Recovery.” Keynote speaker Drs. Phillip LeBel of Montclair State, Robert Schwartz of Baruch College and Michael Szenberg from Pace will be offering an interesting range of issues and perspectives. During the Friday luncheon Dr. Michael Szenberg will share his work on “Passion and Craft, Service and Teaching: The Social Responsibility of Scholars, A Personal Perspective.” At Friday evening's dinner, Dr. Robert Schwartz will discuss a very timely subject, “The Economic Crisis: New Challenges for Financial Economists.” During the Saturday luncheon Dr. Phillip LeBel will discuss a related issue of current interest “Predicting the Unpredictable: Theory and Policy in the Presence of Asset Bubbles.”
The final program consists of about 200 papers and 12 panel sessions spanning a wide range of current research topics in economics, finance, and business by renowned international academic researchers and professional practitioners.
