edTeXpo 2004: Bringing Technology to Education

The Montclair State University edTeXpo Annual Conference will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2004. The Annual Conference includes an MSU Forum and Technology ExplorITorium.

The morning program will feature Jennifer MacDougall, Applications Coordinator at MAGPI GigaPOP at the University of Pennsylvania. She will discuss the instructional and research uses of Internet2 and digital videoconferencing across a high speed network. The program is scheduled in Montclair State University's Memorial Auditorium.

The lunch speaker will be David Pogue, the personal-technology columnist for the New York Times. David will be speaking on The Digital Generation Comes of Age. This program is open to MSU faculty and staff only, with a buffet lunch for all attendees. Please register early as space is limited.

Three concurrent workshops are planned for the afternoon:

  • What we are doing at MSU to bring technology to education
  • Lecture123 eLearning applications

The 10th Annual Technology ExplorITorium is a popular and successful hands-on event held in the Student Center Ballrooms from 10 AM to 3 PM. National technology vendors will be on hand to demonstrate presentation technology, computer hardware and software, and wireless devices. The ExplorITorium is open to faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends.
