For the second year in a row, the staff of Montclair State University’s student newspaper, The Montclarion has been honored by the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) with a Mark of Excellence Award.
The Montclarion placed second in the Editorial Writing category for SPJ’s Region 1, which includes New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Central/Eastern Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
SPJ judged three editorials published by The Montclarion in 2010 and although the entire Montclarion editorial board was involved in the process, the winning articles were written by Lori Wieczorak (Opinion Editor) and Katherine Milsop (Managing Editor).
Congratulations to all!
