D'Andrea Wins Third NJAC Offensive Player of the Week Honor

Montclair, NJ (10/30/11) –  Running back Chris D’Andrea (Union, NJ / Union) collected his third New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor on Sunday.

D’Andrea earned honors after leading the Red Hawks to a 38-7 NJAC victory over Western Connecticut. In a driving snowstorm, he averaged 8.2 yards per carry with 231 rushing yards on 28 attempts, including three touchdowns of 4, 1, and 36 yards apiece. His 231 rushing yards are the second most in a game this season in conference, trailing just his own 239-yard effort against Salve Regina.

D’Andrea, who eclipsed the 2,000-yard career rushing plateau in the win over the Colonials, currently leads the NJAC in rushing (168.4 yards per game).
