Michael E. Cryor is the founder and president of The Cryor
Group, a strategic communications firm located in Baltimore, Maryland. He earned
a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Morgan State University and a master’s
degree from Montclair State University.
Cryor has more than 30 years of strategic communications
experience in both the public and private sectors as an advisor to some of the
nation’s leading corporations and nonprofit organizations, specializing in
urban policy, health care, and technology-based initiatives.
He chairs the Board of Visitors at the University of Maryland’s School of Medicine, and in 2007, received the university’s Gold Medal for his exemplary service at the medical school. He has also been honored with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s Award of Excellence, which acknowledges individuals who exemplify professional and civic excellence and share Justice Thurgood Marshall’s concern for civil rights and his commitment to social justice and education.
