Montclair State University’s College of Science and Mathematics held its Convocation ceremony on Saturday, May 12 at the University’s Sprague Field. 348 candidates are to receive baccalaureate degrees from the College and many of them—together with family and friends—were present for the event.
Pioneering acid rain researcher, Gene E. Likens, the founding
director and president emeritus of the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies
delivered the keynote address and received an honorary Doctor of Science degree
from the University.
President Susan A. Cole, Board of Trustees member Susan Blount, and Dean Robert Prezant offered words of welcome and greeting, and geoscience major, Deepa Shah, delivered the student address.
