CPR & First Aid Training

Montclair State University EMS Offers the Following American Heart Association CPR/First Aid Classes on Campus:

American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR/AED Class: This course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Class fees and duration are as follows:

  • Adult CPR/AED: $65. Class length, 1.5 hours.
  • Adult + Child CPR/AED: $75. Class length, 2.25 hours.
  • Adult + Child + Infant CPR/AED: $80. Class length, 3 hours
  • All class fees include a student manual e-book.

American Heart Association HeartSaver First Aid: This course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a first aid course completion card to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. The class fee is $80 and is approximately 2 hours in duration. The class fee includes a student manual e-book.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS): This course is designed for healthcare professionals or first responders (law enforcement, EMTs, etc.). The class fee is $75 and is approximately 3.5-4 hours long.

American Heart Association BLS Refresher: This course requires a current, non-expired AHA BLS card. The course fee is $65 and is approximately 2.75 hours long.

Narcan/Overdose Awareness: Available upon request.

Stop the Bleed (Bleeding Control): Available upon request.
