Online ESL Placement Test Information, Academic Year 2021-2022, for Incoming Degree Students only
English as a second language (ESL) course offerings are provided to support and enhance our degree students’ experience at Montclair State University. These ESL courses are designed for our undergraduates and graduates who can benefit from the framework these courses lay down for the project-driven and written assignments students will encounter in their content courses.

This online test consists of four parts: a multiple-choice structure test, a multiple-choice listening comprehension test, a one-page reading selection with 5 short-answer questions, and a written summary of the reading selection.
