Tune in to NJ Today Debut at Montclair State, 6 p.m. Tonight

Don't miss the debut of NJTV's nightly newscast, NJ Today, now broadcasting each week day from the DuMont Television Center at 6 p.m. with encores at 7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. (check local listings). The new show follows last month's announcement naming Montclair State as the broadcast home of NJ Today  and is the culmination of a great deal of effort from many members of our community.

Bringing NJ Today to New Jersey has long been a priority, both for the University and statewide. We are proud that the campus and our students have been able to play a crucial role in adding a strong voice to the issues and ideas of our home state.

The NJTV news bureau will also reside on campus, providing students with exceptional on-the-job learning opportunities.  NJ Today will soon be extending its staff to include university interns, who will play critical roles in the show's production while earning degree credits.

Today’s news continues the momentum from this past Friday, when the university announced plans to create a new School of Communication and Media, offering Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication Studies, Television and Digital Media, and Communication and Media Arts; a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Filmmaking; and a Master of Arts in Public and Organizational Communication.
