General Information
Diagnosis 2 Recovery (D2R), based at Montclair’s School of Nursing, is dedicated to offering comprehensive resources and support for professionals working with Substance Use Disorders (SUD). We are passionate about providing free resources, such as Mental Health First Aid Training, Podcasts, Webinars and Conferences. This initiative is supported by a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) TI087360.

What We Offer
- The Youth Mental Health First Aid Training teaches participants how to recognize and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in youth ages 12–18, and includes a self-paced course, live virtual instruction, and certification upon completion.
- The Adult Mental Health First Aid Training teaches participants how to recognize and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in adults, and includes virtual instruction with certification upon completion.
- A quarterly newsletter focused on current SUD topics and D2R updates.
- Eight free online synchronous or in-person modules focused on identification to diagnosis, treatment through recovery, and cutting edge treatments. All modules provide 3.5 CEUs.
Discussions 2 Recovery Podcast
“The D2R Recovery Room” is the home of our podcasts, which focus on substance use disorder, reducing stigma, and featuring conversations with highly respected experts driving change in the field.
