As part of the Pre-Fall Orientation and Welcome Week experience, we hosted a day of service for first-year students on Saturday August 26, 2023. This allowed first-year students to get out into the community, engaging with our neighbors and doing community service.
First-year students had the chance to volunteer with 13 off campus partners.

We hit close to 600 hours of service with a total of 105 student volunteers! All groups of students for each site were accompanied by faculty/staff that acted as chaperones who also had the chance to volunteer.
As community service continues to become a growing part of Montclair, this may become an annual day of service for first-years students.
