Washington Post Features Article by Doctoral Student on Poverty and Student Achievement

Kathryn Strom, a student in the EdD in Teacher Education and Teacher Development program in the College of Education and Human Services, recently discussed the role of poverty in student achievement in a Washington Post blog feature.

Ms. Strom's research centers on teacher preparation for urban/high-poverty schools and teaching for social justice. She is a member of the New Jersey chapter of the national movement called Save Our Schools and a co-founder of the New Jersey Teacher Activist Group.
