The two major-party candidates for the US Senate seat for
New Jersey, US Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and NJ Sen. Joe Kyrillos (R –
Monmouth), will debate on October 4 at 8:00 p.m. on the campus of Montclair
State University at the John J. Cali School of Music’s Leshowitz Recital Hall.

Record and Herald News, the
hour-long debate will be broadcast on NJTV and streamed live at njtvonline.org.
The incumbent, Menendez, who is seeking a second term, and
Kyrillos, who has served in the NJ Senate for two decades, will debate on the
issues and challenges facing New Jersey residents. The candidates are battling
for the US Senate seat in the November 6 General Election.
Mike Schneider, managing editor and anchor of NJTV’s news program NJ Today, will moderate the debate. Panelists will include Michael Aron, chief political correspondent for NJTV; Alfred P. Doblin, editorial page editor of The Record and Herald News; Doug Doyle, news director of WBGO-FM; Brigid Callahan Harrison, professor of political science and law at Montclair State University and frequent political commentator; and Herb Jackson, Washington correspondent for The Record.
