FHI 360, in collaboration with the Teachers for a New Era (TNE) Learning Network, released an issue brief titled "Partnering to Prepare Tomorrow's Teachers: Examples from Practice". The MSU Network for Educational Renewal, the Newark-Montclair Urban Teacher Residency Program and the Center of Pedagogy in the College of Education and Human Services at Montclair State University are featured examples included in this brief of strong partnerships between schools and university teacher preparation programs.
The publication outlines how universities and schools can build strong partnerships to better prepare new teachers for tomorrow’s classrooms, while simultaneously improving classrooms today. The brief was created to help universities, schools, districts and policymakers better align teacher preparation with the realities of teaching in today’s and tomorrow’s classrooms.
