Peace Corps Panel: Stories from Returned Volunteers

Sunday, April 22, 2013

3:45 pm - 5:15 pm

University Hall Room 3046

Have you ever wanted to expand your volunteer service beyond New Jersey? How far would you go?

For more than fifty years, the U.S. Peace Corps has created bonds between individuals and nations. Volunteers of all ages have helped countries around the world meet their need for skilled and knowledgeable workers in education, public health, business, agriculture, and many other areas. Living alongside their host-country counterparts for two years, Peace Corps Volunteers have had a unique opportunity tolearn a new culture while teaching about their own.

We celebrate the sixth decade of the U.S. Peace Corps in the College of Education and Human Services at Montclair State University by bringing the experiences of these volunteers to our campus. Come join us for an interactive presentation by four Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who will speak about their experiences living and working around the world, and find out if serving in the U.S. Peace Corps might be a possibility for you!
