Softball Captures NJAC Championship - Earns NCAA Automatic Bid

Montclair State claims fourth conference crown, first since 2008

The Montclair State University softball team downed Kean University 5-4 on May 5 to become the 2013 NJAC Champions and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Softball Championship Tournament.

Junior Alex Hill, who was just named NJAC Pitcher of the Year for the third consecutive season, came through with a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh to give the Red Hawks the victory. The win gives Montclair State its fourth conference crown and its first since 2008.
