One way or another, Gallim Dance will not be boxed in.

Andrea Miller, Artistic Director and choreographer for Brooklyn-based Gallim Dance Company, has been making serious waves in recent years with her kinetic, athletic, and highly engaging brand of dance. Click through to read an in-depth preview feature by Star Ledger dance critic and writer Robert Johnson, as he interviews Miller on her latest work, the world premiere Peak commission of Fold Here. Inspired by Raymond Carver's touching short story "Cathedral", Fold Here deftly plays with the notions of how we treat other people, situations, and general concepts, as both rigid and malleable at the same time. Performances start Thursday night, continuing through Sunday. Visit www.peakperfs.org for more information.

Also, join us for our first Community Conversation of the season, immediately following the Saturday, 9/28 performance. Join moderator Charmaine Warren in a discussion with Andrea Miller and members of the company.
