Blaine and Tanis were selected to the First Team while DiBenedetto was chosen to the Second Team. It is the third consecutive year that Montclair State has placed three players on the IWLCA All-Region Team. A total of 32 players were named to the Boardwalk All-Region squad.
All three played key roles in helping the Red Hawks to their third straight Skyline Conference Championship as MSU posted an undefeated mark during the regular season and added to more in the conference tournament to earn a second consecutive trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Blaine collects her first All-Region honors as she added that to her Skyline Conference Player of the Year and Tournament Most Valuable Player trophies. Blaine led MSU in goals (47) and points (60) as well as draws (39) and tied for third on the team in caused turnovers with 18. She ranked fifth in the league in goals and points per game, eighth in assists per contest and third in draw controls.
Tanis is now a two-time All-Region choice. Ranked among the Top 10 in several career categories, Tanis, a three-time Skyline Conference selection, was third on the team in scoring with 38 points (17 goals), including a team-best 21 assists. She also led Montclair in ground balls with 44 and caused turnovers (32) while also registering 34 draws.
DiBenedetto, a three-time All-Skyline pick, including First-Team this season, was a two-time Player of the Week during the season. Scoring 38 goals and handing out 19 assists – both second on the team – she was second on the Red Hawks in ground balls (42) and caused turnovers (18) and third in draws (27). DiBenedetto was fourth in the Skyline in assists per game and ranked seventh in goals and sixth in points per game.
