Capozzoli Wins NJAC Football Weekly Honor

Montclair, NJ (11/8/08) – Juniorkicker Marco Capozzoli (Bloomfield, NJ / St. Joseph's (Montvale)) earned his second NJAC Special Teams Player of the Week honor on Sunday. Capozzoli played a key role in Montclair State's 30-14 win over Rowan, the Red Hawks' fourth consecutive victory.

In total, Capozzoli recorded 12 points in the win with three field goals and three extra points. He connected on a season-long 42-yard field goal on Montclair State’s opening drive, and later added successful 32 and 23-yard scores in the victory.

Capozzoli currently leads the NJAC in field goals made per game (1.44) and has 13 on the year, two shy of the MSU single-season mark of 15 held by Dan Deneher (1981).
