Montclair State will face Immaculata in the consolation game of the tournament on Sunday, November 16 at 1:00 pm. It will be the first meeting between the schools since the 1979-80 season when Montclair recorded a 73-59 win back when the teams competed in the AIAW.
Kopecki tossed in 16 points in the first-half as the Lady Royals fought back from an early deficit to take a 36-18 lead by intermission. Scranton enjoyed a 20-point lead throughout much of the second-half until the Red Hawks made a late run.
Sophomore guard Jamilee Pflug (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) and junior guard Jackie Berry (Tuckerton, N.J./Pinelands Regional) led the Red Hawks, now 0-1, with nine points apiece. Junior Kisandra Ayanbeku ( Burlington, MA / Randolph) had eight points and five rebounds while freshman guard Jaime Ericson ( Flemington, NJ / Hunterdon Central) added five points and six rebounds.
