Loutchouk broke Gail Meneghin’s 1985 (set against Trenton State) mark in the event as she swam a time of 5:24.56 in the preliminaries. She would come back and reset the new standard clocking in at 5:23.15 to finish 13 th in the event.
Meanwhile the 400 medley relay team of Lauren Uckar (Manalapan, NJ / Manalapan), Laura Spadoni (Nazareth, PA / Nazareth Area), Laura Flynn (Andover, NJ / Lenape Valley) and Raquel Erwin (Ridgewood, NJ / Ridgewood) broke another 24-year-old mark as they placed sixth in the event. The quartet timed in at 4:06.11, breaking the previous mark of 4:08.12 set during the 1985 NCAA Division III Championships.
Erwin and Uckar then combined with Christina Crossin (Milford, CT / Lauralton Hall) and Nicole Van Avery (North Brunswick, NJ / North Brunswick) to place sixth in the 200 freestyle relay as that teams posted a time of 1:40.65 in the event.
Spadoni and Erwin would go on to register Top 10 individual finishes. Spadoni took 10 th in the 200 individual medley (2:13.38) with Erwin recording the same finish in the 50 freestyle (24.89). Van Avery was 13 th in the 50 freestyle with a personal-best time of 25.23.
On the men’s side, the men’s 200 freestyle relay team of Blaise Lacca ( Sewell, NJ / Washington Township), Sean French ( Cranford, NJ / Cranford), Chris Lee ( Morris Plains, NJ / Parsippany Hills) and John Adams ( Wharton, NJ / Pope John XXIII) placed seventh with a time of 1:29.19. Adams, French and Lacca then joined Jon Kurtz ( Stockholm, NJ / Vernon Township) for the 400 medley relay as that team placed eighth with a time of 3:36.13.
Adams would finish 16 th in the 50 freestyle (22.08). Freshman diver Jacklyn Beck ( West Milford, NJ / West Milford) was fifth in the one-meter event
