Hagel Chosen NJAC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week For Second Time

Montclair, NJ (10/12/09) – Junior forward Deana Hagel (Fairfield, NJ / West Essex) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second time. Hagel was also named on September 28.

Hagel earns NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after tallying 10 points in a pair of non-conference road victories for the Red Hawks. She opened the week by scoring three goals, including the game-winner in overtime for her first career hat track in Montclair’s 3-2 overtime road win at SUNY New Paltz. Three days later, she netted a pair of goals in the Red Hawks’ come-from-behind 4-1 non-conference road victory at King’s.

Hagel currently ranks third in the NJAC in total points with 24 on the season.
