Swimming and Diving Loses NJAC Opener to TCNJ

Montclair, NJ (10/23/09) - The Montclair State men's and women's swimming and diving teams dropped their New Jersey Athletic Conference opener as the Red Hawks fell to The College of New Jersey in a dual meet at the Panzer Athletic Center Pool on Friday evening. The MSU (0-2, 0-1 NJAC) fell to the Lions 154-90 while the Montclair women (0-2, 0-1 NJAC) lost 151-86.

The Red Hawks women swept the 1-meter diving event as sophomore Jacklyn Beck (West Milford, NJ / West Milford) took the top spot with a score of 160.65 points. Freshman Kristin Winter (Brick, NJ / Monsignor Donovan) was second while classmate Lauren Corrente (Nyack, NJ / Nyack) was third with scores of 137.70 and 128.32, respectively.
