Tancer was one of five Red Hawks to finish in the Top 10 of the shot put as he posted a winning throw of 14.11 meters (46-feet, 3.5-inches). Mario Morrison-Bird (West Orange, NJ / West Orange) finished third at 13.63 meters) while David Helterbran III (Sewell, NJ / Washington Township) placing sixth at 12.82 meters. James Luginsland (Bridgewater, NJ / Bridgewater-Raritan) and Michael Johnson (Boonton, NJ / Mountain Lakes) were seventh (12.74 meters) and ninth (12.00 meters), respectively.
Morrison-Bird placed third in the discus at 40.78 meters (133-09). Newcomer Joseph Gingerelli (Wood-Ridge, NJ) finished second in the javelin at 55.55 meters (182-03) while Michael Palazzo (Toms River, NJ / Toms River South) was seventh at 41.11 meters (134-10).
Luginsland was 11th in the hammer throw (27.05 meters) and senior Terry Iavarone (North Arlington, NJ / North Arlington) placed 17th in the 1500 meters (4:31.05). Eric Gershey (Parsippany, NJ / Parsippany Hills) placed 15th in the 400 meters.
Freshman Jarman Esperance (Nyack, NY / Nyack) placed second in the 110 hurdles posting a time of 15.57 seconds. Junior Will Brown (Gloucester, NJ / Palmyra) was fourth at 16.05 followed by Timothy Lynch (Bayville, NJ / Monsignor Donovan), who clocked in at 18.78. Lynch would come back to finish sixth in the 400 hurdles recording a time of 1:00.99.
The Red Hawks return to action on Saturday, April 3 as they compete at the Penn Invitational in Philadelphia, PA.
