Montclair, NJ (3/29/10) - Sophomore midfielder Cora Delfini (New Egypt, NJ / New Egypt) earned
a pair of honors on Monday as she was chosen as the Player of the Week
by the Skyline Conference and the Offensive Player of the Week in the
New Jersey Athletic Conference.
Delfini becomes the second Red Hawk this season to accomplish that feat. Senior Morgan MacPhee (Toms River, NJ / Toms River East) received the same honors back on March 8.
Delfini recorded 10 goals, an assist, four ground balls and seven draw controls in leading Montclair State to a pair of key
Skyline Conference victories. Delfini had eight goals and an assist as
the Red Hawks earned a 21-14 win over Farmingdale in a rematch of last
year’s Skyline championship game. She then scored two goals during a
game-ending 5-0 run as Montclair State rallied to beat Ramapo 14-11 in
a game that also kept Montclair unbeaten in the NJAC as well at 2-0.
