Montclair, NJ (1/17/11) - Junior forward Andrew August (Bridgewater, NJ / Bridgewater-Raritan) collected his second New Jersey Athletic Conference Player of the Week honor on Monday. August was also chosen for the award on November 29.
August was named NJAC Player of the Week after helping the Red Hawks to a split in a pair of NJAC games last week. He scored a team-best 22 points in a 75-66 loss to NJAC North leader Ramapo on Monday evening. He then came back with a perfect shooting day from the field (8-for-8) finishing with his fourth double-double of the season with 20 points and 11 rebounds as Montclair went on the road nad posted a 75-56 win at Rowan.
August, who shot 71.4 percent from the field (15-of-21), is currently ranked fourth in the conference in scoring (17.0), sixth in rebounding (7.6 rpg) and third (.598) in field goal percentage.
