Men's Lacrosse Falls to No. 6 Stevens in Completion of Suspended Game, 16-5

Montclair, NJ (3/24/11) – The Montclair State men's lacrosse team dropped its second straight and fell to 2-4 on the season as the Red Hawks fell to No. 6 Stevens in the completion of their suspended game on Thursday evening, 16-5. THe game began Wednesday evening and was suspended in the first quarter due to heavy rain and hail along with lightining and thunder.

Sophomore Jack Skeels (Roseland, NJ / West Essex) had two goals for MSU while Bobby Sinicola (North Caldwell, NJ / West Essex) and Matt Prongay (Edison, NJ / Edison) each posted a goal and assist.

The Ducks scored three times in the first 1:54 of the game and led 7-1 when the game was called. Sinicola had the lone score for Montclair in the firstquarter.

Prongay's goal with 56 seconds left before halftime cut made the score 8-2, however the Ducks scored twice in the third to build a 10-2 lead.

Freshman goalkeeper Michael Dorn (Blairstown, NJ / North Warren) stopped 12 shots for Montclair State.

MSU is back in action on Saturday, March 26 as they travel to Troy, NY to face No. 9 Rensselaer.
