Montclair State University's Department of Campus Recreation is offering four one-week summer sports sessions for children ages 3 to 6 beginning July 11. Summer Sports Squirt introduces young children to a wide variety of sports in a safe and fun environment. The indoor program meets Monday-Friday with a maximum student-to-instructor ratio of 8:1. Each week will focus on a different sport or set of sports using imagination-based games. Participants can register for individual weeks or the entire four-week program.
The program focuses on safety and learning and is geared toward educating and inspiring all participants. The schedule includes:
July 11-15: Sports Squirts
July 18-22: Soccer Squirts
July 25-29: T-Ball Squirts
Aug. 1-5: Basketball Squirts
For all weeks, children ages 3 and 4 meet from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.; and children ages 5 and 6 meet from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. in the Student Recreation Center on the Montclair State campus. Cost is $100 per week for the 3- and 4-year-old program; $130 per week for the 5- and 6-year-old program.
