Early Goal Helps Men's Soccer Blank NJCU, 1-0

Jersey City, NJ (10/15/11) – Senior forward Kevin Zalewski (Parsippany, NJ / Parisppany) tapped in his own rebound off a breakaway 15 minutes into the game as Montclair State won its second straight with a 1-0 victory over New Jersey City University at a blustery Gerrity Complex on Saturday.

Montclair State keeper Anthony Rogic (Boonton, NJ / Morris Catholic) made one save to record his fifth shutout of the season as the Red Hawks improved to 11-2-2 overall, 4-1-1 in the NJAC with the win.

The Red Hawks are back in action on Wednesday, October 19 as they host Muhlenberg College at MSU Soccer Park beginning at 3:30 pm. The game will be the team's charity contest as all proceeds from he game will go to benefit The Cure Stats Now Foundation for Pediatric Cancer.
