Faulcon Named NJAC Football Defensive Player of the Week for Second Time

Montclair, NJ (11/6/11) – Senior safety Chad Faulcon (Cranford, NJ / Cranford) was selected as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season on Sunday.

Faulcon earns NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after helping the Red Hawks rally for a 37-31 NJAC overtime road win at Rowan. He finished the contest with 12 tackles, including eight solo stops and one tackle for a loss. With five seconds remaining in regulation, he produced a game-saving force out at the MSU one-yard line which forced Rowan to kick a field goal and send the game into overtime.

The MSU victory sets up a one-game showdown next week between Kean and Montclair State for the conference championship.

Faulcon currently ranks 16th in the NJAC in tackles (7.1 per game).
