Bostic Chosen NJAC Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Montclair, NJ (1/9/12) – Freshman guard Dwight Bostic (Roselle, N.J./Abraham Clark) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday.

Bostic becomes the second different Red Hawk to earn NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after averaging 12.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per game in a pair of key conference victories for Montclair State. He opened the week with 12 points, four rebounds, and one assist in an 80-79 overtime win over rival William Paterson. Three days later, he helped MSU extend its winning-streak to six games by tallying 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting from three-point range, while adding two rebounds in a 77-63 NJAC victory over Kean.

Bostic, who helped key the win over William Paterson by going 4-of-6 from the foul line in the closing minutes of regulation and in overtime, currently ranks third in three-point field goal percentage against NJAC competition (.533).
