Super Bowl fans can watch the big game and cheer on their favorite team at the Student Recreation Center Lounge and the Rathskeller in the Student Center when the New York Giants and the New England Patriots square off on Sunday.
Student Recreation Center Lounge
The Student Recreation Center Lounge’s two 65-inch flat-screen TVs will be tuned to the game with stadium-style seating for optimal viewing.
“We’re encouraging people to wear their football jerseys and to bring their fan gear. If the game is exciting, it’ll be exciting here,” says Romayne Eaker-Kelly, director of the Department of Campus Recreation and Health Promotion, which is hosting the event. The first 50 people to arrive will receive a Super Bowl gift set of noisemakers and souvenirs. Confetti is free for all along with free sub sandwiches, chicken wings, and birch beer.
The event starts at 6 p.m. with pre-game highlights; kickoff is at 6:30 p.m.
Super Bowl Bash at the Rathskeller
Fans can snack on pizza, soda, chips and other refreshments at the Super Bowl Bash organized by Phi Beta Sigma fraternity and Delta Sigma Theta sorority at the Rathskeller. Music and football-related mini-games will also be part of the fun.
