“Poll workers are the immediate face of the election, and they are feeling the brunt of it. It’s unfortunate, because most of them are taking their own time to do something for their community. Due to the environment and rumors, a lot of people don’t want to be poll workers anymore.”

Fanny Lauby, Associate Professor of Political Science and Law, explains to NorthJersey.com that preserving neutrality within polling places helps ensure a fair voting environment.

Dr. Lisa Lieberman

“There is actually the potential to eliminate cervical cancer worldwide if we were able to increase availability of pap test, and identify HPV earlier in process, we would not have cervical cancer. It’s almost completely treatable in those earlier stages.”

Dr. Lisa Lieberman, Associate Professor of Public Health, tells Yahoo News that self-swab pap smears are a promising step toward increasing early detection of cervical cancer and making screenings more accessible for all women.
