Feliciano School of Business professor, Dr. Te Wu from the Department of Management recently wrote a piece for Business Insider about what Elon Musk should do in order to transform X into a killer app. Dr. Wu is also CEO and CPO of PMO Advisory, a project management training and consulting firm. He believes Musk’s endeavor should not be focused on “rebranding”; instead, Musk should treat this like a business transformation. Dr. Wu noted that “business transformations are much more revolutionary than marketing and perceptual changes.”
In addition to tackling this grand project as a business transformation, Dr. Wu emphasized additional critical action items to ensure success, including focusing on new product development, capitalizing on existing Twitter users, clarifying the vision, and executing ruthlessly.
